Alfe, the daughter of a grand duke from a neighboring country, had become an adventurer in the city of Verdan. While undertaking a guild quest, she ventured to an abandoned village along the southern highway, where undead roamed.
Fending off foes that were resistant to physical attacks, Alfe focused on gathering the mushrooms she sought. During her quest, she encountered two knights, Theodore and Mathias, who were exploring the area for a separate mission.
