4 years time skip. 

The project is actually real, but it’s problem with boss throwing impossible task to subordinate and say “I want this done”. The minister thus make an experimentation about matching up people. Fumiya is part of the trial population to monitor effect of the matching up. Some people who doesn’t like it leaked out the experiment, and thus it’s forcefully stopped. 

Despite the objections from his colleagues and parents, Fumiya choose to move away and look for new job to avoid Naruse, after what they did. The government helps with getting new job, albeit in smaller company. So they have a new start, and he now got a kid too. 

Still eventually meet each other though.
